First Friday at the Greeley History Museum On First Fridays of each month, the Greeley History Museum stays open from 5-7 p.m. for a special mini-exhibit, tours of the exhibit galleries, and family activities. Each month the museum features a different theme and mini-exhibit of items drawn from the collections. "The museums are excited about partnering with other establishments to bring families downtown for a fun evening," according to Museums Superintendent Chris Dill. "And this is a great way to show off some of the little treasures in our collection in addition to the larger exhibits in the building. Children can take part in related crafts and hands-on activities, browse the galleries, enjoy refreshments and learn more about museums. In connection with the event, the Greeley Freight Station Museum will give tours at 6, 7 and 8 p.m. of the 5,500 square-foot HO gauge model railroad layout under construction there. It is located at 680 10th St., just a block from the history museum. Both museums are open free of charge for First Friday. There is free on-street parking in front of the building or free parking in the lot between the history museum and Ice Haus and walk just a block to the train museum. Cost: Free!
