Are you ready to have a Ball?
A Fundraising committee is currently being assembled to address some financial needs of the Town of Ault.
We are looking for motivated people willing to sit on a committee to help pinpoint the financial needs of our community, and determine ways to meet those needs. The time commitment needed would be a monthly meeting and any volunteer efforts you wish to contribute to any individual event planned.
Currently under review is an Officer’s Ball to assist our Police Department with some needed funds to further officer training.
Also under review is a Chili Supper.
Monies generated could go to assist citizens in need with to be determined services such as holiday meals, medical scholarships, and home upkeep. Other possibilities include town beautification and donations to the Highland School District Music, Arts and Sports Departments.

I just wanted to do a little corrective editing on this announcement. I created this announcement and it has been posted around the Town of Ault and on Craigslist. I was coming to this site to post the announcement, and much to my suprise, it was already here! That is wonderful, thank you very much to the person who posted it here! Hello,
I guess that I need a little clarification on what I am looking for with this Fundraising Committee.
I have a few great ideas to raise some money for some specific things. I would really like to put on an officer's ball to provide some needed funds for additional training for our police officers. For example, Officer Jones's SWAT Training. The town couldn't afford to pay for his gear and asked for help. Thankfully, the money was found by Officer Jones through a grant to update our patrol cars with new equipment which freed the budget to support his SWAT training. If we had money in reserve account for the police officers, we could have used it in a much more efficient, proactive manner. We will all benefit from his SWAT training should we ever have need of it, and he is donating quite a bit of his personal time to do this. I am not looking to supplement the taxes for basic operations, I would just like to give them a little extra to help with special things that just don't fit in the budget that would benefit us all.
I can't do this by myself and need some help. I have never done anything like this before, so please pardon my ineptitude as I feel my way through this. My thought process was to start this committee to gather like minded individuals who have an idea to raise some money for a cause but just don't know what to do with it. I want to help you and I need help with my ideas. If we could gather a half a dozen people, we would have a ready made support group for your fundraising idea. We could create a pool of people who were willing to help with a fundraising event, yours, mine or theirs.
I really think that this could work, and am excited about what all we could accomplish if we work together.
