I'm not sure if this is offensive to anyone else, but I discovered a month or so ago that the city of Cheyenne is dumping their citys' trash in our over-filled Weld county landfill just east of Ault. I've observed a number of semi tractor trailers each day heading for the mountain of trash behind the Waste Management installed "tennis court nets". Landfill is one thing, mountain is a whole different animal! This site has been a detriment to traffic on Hwy 14 ever since it was begun, became a danger to that busy road due to the blowing garbage across the Hwy (necessitating the mile of 30' high "tennis nets",...recently destroyed,...duh!,...by the wind and rebuilt by WM), has a luscious odor in the summer, and is now quite the eyesore. You'd think that Wyoming would have just one, small spot to landfill Cheyennes' trash rather that trucking it here,... Sorry if my concern is petty, but I've been here for 25 years and I can't understand why this landfill is being used for garbage from out of state, and has not been closed after this many years of dumping. Todd.
